You have an incredible voice. I wish you didn’t have to use it to share your heartbreak with the world.

I am so sorry you are going through such tragedy and pain . We feel helpless to do anything all our words fall on deaf ears but know we see you and you are not forgotten.

I apologize for the actions of my rotten government. 😪

This is eloquent and devastating. I weep in powerlessness. I want to end Zionism by any means possible, but I am very old and far away. I cannot imagine Palestinian pain but sometimes I think I feel a faint tinge of it, and it is lethal.

When every aspect of the Palestinian/Palestine experience is presented to the eyes, minds, memories , and perceptions of the world, is the exact opposite of the reality of the relationship you’ve been ordered to yield to with the occupiers from day one; my only hope is that the horror of this Genocidal madness that has been presented to us through the testimonies of everyone who has “live streamed” the carnage,; will also become the opposite for those who survive. May you all eventually gain the freedom that you have always deserved.

Your telling is perfectly distinct and paints the painful path on your path of survival. It reminds me of the diaries of Palestinian writers whose books I have been prompted to absorb. The words left me in a state of sensation that no other literature experience ever took me to. I only tell others to read the “sharing” copies I have purchased; because I am fearful of mentioning the books and their authors online. I think that, “”

“Don’t! They’ll be found and targeted!”

Do you think that fear is genuinely reasonable?

Twenty some years ago I asked someone if he thought America would ever fall, and he quickly responded that it was impossible, we simply had too much power all around the world.

Perhaps he responded too quickly...

Thank you for your eloquent column. I think it would break me. And - despite the fabled "resilience" of Palestinians, I feel like it likely HAS broken many whom it has not killed. But there is a strong desire for freedom, justice and life in the human spirit, and I am grateful for all those things in those who have maintained that in an experience that may have broken others. Compassion for all. We cannot demand resilience, and even those with "resilience" are profoundly damaged and affected. I am so sorry for this terrible reality, and glad of any moment of respite, strength and beauty that can still be savored such as the joy in olive trees and nature.

I hope for better days in your future where there is more joy than sorrow.

People like you are heartless, unjust, cruel, and warped. You have lost any humanity and are totally disgusting. Gazans have lost so much, but it is people like you who have lost their very souls.
